Bucks County Children’s Museum

The Objective: Bucks County Children’s Museum was in need of a Web site to showcase its new programs and events for the community. They had no previous Web site and wanted a simple, playful design showing the intended outreach of their mission, programs and events.

The First Step: HG Marketing Group met with the museum director to discuss "look and feel" of the site, develop a site map and review images and text that were needed to reach their intended target audience. Key items that were taken into consideration for this project were to construct simple page navigation, as well as create several initial designs that made an impact and that included bold colors, pictures of children and activities.

The Plan: After site content was gathered, our creative team mocked up a site design template which mimicked the crayon colors, geometric shapes, fonts and patterns of the logo. Once the concept came to us, we began flowing text and design elements together.

The Results: Since the launch of the site, there have been numerous donations for the museum. Parents, teachers and other members of the Bucks County community have also volunteered at several events, which has not only increased awareness but has also shed some light on new projects - including an elaborate children's museum that is scheduled to open in early 2011.
